This is the blog of an informal group of dedicated knitters in Stockholm, Sweden. Here we will share our ups and downs, purls and knits with you.
We meet every Tuesday at Hurtigs Konditori at Drottninggatan 90. There's usually someone there from around 5 pm, and we normally hang around until they close at 9 pm.
Everyone's welcome to knit with us!

Picnic and wildlife experience

At one o'clock Catrin and myself met up at the entrance to Hagaparken. Wondering if anyone else would show up? We knew that a lot of people were unable to make it on this particular day, so we had pretty low hopes. Plus the weather wasn't as it's best. Very overcast, rain almost hanging i the air. However, we spread out our picnic blanket just beneath the Eko-temple and pulled out our yarn. There was us two and some other hopeful picnicers. And weddingcouples! The Eko-temple is a very popular place for weddings, and we saw two wedding and two couples taking their wedding photos (same photographer). After a while two more knitters shohwed up! Hurrah! Stina and Leona (let me know if I got your names wrong!) who were both preparing for a chilly Autumn and knitted wristwarmers.

Lovely!

And the rest of the gang!

Around three o'clock we decided to call it quits, but decided to have a look at the old ruin first. We ended up on quite a wildlife experince as we managed to get a bit lost (how is that possible in a park?), but after some climbing and hiking (for about 10 minutes) we knew where we were again. Not that we were that worried. But the exprerience gave the idea of forming "the STHLM knitters Wildlife Experince"! Bring your knitting out in Nature and look at strange plants and trees and insects. Hopefully not ticks, though...
Anyway here are some photos of our out-of-the-city experience yielded:

And finally, an overview of one part of the park:

When we finally got to the busstop it started raining! We were lucky indeed! A nice day altoghether, but I hope that there will be more knitters next time!

Sorry about the misspellings, but I'm too tired to correct them now...
